This site automatically republishes public products from the NOAA National Hurricane Center and the National Weather Service. They are the official sources. Data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Always follow instructions from your local emergency management and the National Weather Service. In an emergency, call 911.
AI answers in Ask & share are written by a computer program from the latest NHC advisory. They can be wrong and are not advice from a meteorologist or emergency official.
We do not ask for your name, email or location. If you pick a town, it is saved only in your own browser so the page remembers it.
When you post in Ask & share, we store your post, the town you chose and the AI answer, and we show them publicly. To prevent spam we store a scrambled code made from your IP address that changes every day; we cannot use it to identify you. Your post text is sent to Anthropic to write the AI answer.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, and your browser contacts the National Weather Service directly to check alerts for the town you pick. We may show advertising in the future; this page will be updated before any ad network or tracking cookie is added.
Keep posts about the storm, preparation, safety and recovery. Posts with hate, harassment, spam, ads or sexual content are not published. We may remove any post.
